The 12 houses are 12 segments of the sky at the moment you were born. Imagine a wheel divided into slices - each house governs a specific area of your life: identity, family, work, love, purpose, and more. They are not planets or signs - they are arenas of life where planetary energies and zodiac archetypes play out.
Think of it this way:
Planets = what's happening
Signs = how it's happening
= where its's happening
Tropical vs. Sidereal: Same Houses, Different Views
Tropical - Seasons (Spring Equinox as 0 degrees Aries) - Focuses on the psycho-spiritual evolution of the self in modern life.
Sideral - Actual Constellations - Reflects ancestral, karmic, and cosmic timing tied to your eternal self.
Because Sidereal uses real-time star positions, you may find that your planet placements shift into different houses than your Tropical chart. That doesn't mean one is wrong - it means they each give you a different mirror: one for your egoic identity, the other for your soul's memory.
